About IntelliCIS |
COST is an intergovernmental framework for European Co-operation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research since 1971. It is organized into scientific and Technical Domains and its goal is to ensure that Europe holds a strong position in the field of scientific and technical research for peaceful purposes. |
COST is based on Actions, which are networks of coordinated national research projects in fields of interest to participants coming from different COST and non-COST countries. The Actions are defined by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Governments of the COST states wishing to participate in the Action. In COST Actions, the initiative comes from the scientists and technical experts and from those with a direct interest in furthering international collaboration. Due to this "bottom-up" approach, joining COST is very easy. |
COST IC0806 (IntelliCIS) is the Action on Intelligent Monitoring, Control and Security of Critical Infrastructure Systems and belongs to the ICT Domain. The main objective of the Action is to develop innovative intelligent monitoring, control and safety methodologies for critical infrastructure systems, such as electric power systems, telecommunication networks, and water distribution systems. |
The Action is guided by the Management Committee, which is formed by not more than two representatives of each country that signed the MoU. |
Join us, as we are exploring the world of critical infrastructure systems. This is an exciting area of research with direct benefits to the social and economic welfare of people worldwide. A diverse network of researchers in various domains has come together in this Action, forming probably the largest team in the world working on critical infrastructure systems! Our web site will be continuously updated to inform colleagues and the general public of research achievements, meetings, and workshops related to critical infrastructure systems. |
