• Dear COST Action Colleagues: a forthcoming book on Protecting Water and Wastewater Systems which is part of a book series on Protecting Critical Infrastructures (see http://www.fox.temple.edu/ccg/publications.html) is being prepared by Dr. Simon Hakim, Dr. Robert Clark and Dr. Avi Ostfeld.

The book is quite broad in its scope and authors who can address in a chapter problems associated with intended terrorist attacks or natural disaster affecting water or wastewater systems are needed. A chapter can address for example unique plans, technological and managerial innovations in protecting water and wastewater systems, description of projects that were implemented and did not receive sufficient attention, Public-Private Partnerships in securing water and wastewater systems, and other related topics.

The chapter length should not exceed 30 double spaced pages.  If you are interested in joining this effort please send an abstract of no more than 500 words by December 15, 2010 at ostfeld@tx.technion.ac.il. The due date for receiving your final chapters is February 28, 2010.
